At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS), we take on some of the world's most complex challenges and develop innovative solutions through creativity, collaboration, and technical excellence. Our Sensors, Effectors, and Mission Systems business is advancing next-generation launcher technologies while supporting critical defense systems, including the Mk41 Vertical Launching System. By combining cutting-edge engineering with mission-focused execution, we help strengthen national security and shape the future of defense technology.
The Work
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to support multiple programs within the Sensors, Effectors, and Mission Systems business. This role requires strong expertise in electrical engineering principles, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
In this position, you will oversee the overall design of launcher electrical systems, including the selection and integration of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) components, custom hardware design, and the development of requirements for chassis and enclosure designs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Integrated Product Teams supporting the electrical design of next-generation launchers and/or sustainment efforts for the Mk41 Vertical Launching System.
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on contracts and projects.
Conduct and support the design, development, integration, and testing of electrical and electronic components, subsystems, and systems.
Develop, direct, and coordinate technical documentation, including design specifications, schematics, assembly drawings, parts lists, test procedures, and test reports.
Ensure designs meet customer requirements, company standards, and program objectives.
Manage project schedules, budgets, and earned value metrics to support successful program execution.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver innovative and reliable solutions.
Location: Moorestown, New Jersey
Security Requirement: This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with a minimum 9 years of professional (post-graduation) engineering experience or a Masters degree with 7+ years of related professional experience.
• Ability to obtain & maintain a security clearance at the SECRET level (U.S. Citizenship required).
• Experience serving in technical lead capacities (Integrated Product Team Lead or Design lead).
• Demonstrated understanding of technical programmatic principles (Integrated Master Schedule, Earned Value Management, Risks, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience leading projects, programs, and/or teams throughout product design lifecycle.
• Working proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Desired skills
• Team Leadership: Ability to lead and Mentor Junior Engineers
• Well Rounded Electrical Engineering Lead
• Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Familiarity with Electrical Military Specifications
• Electrical testing and qualification experience

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
The base range for this position in New Jersey is $91,000 - $172,488.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. The wage range and benefits summary is a general guideline and is governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.
