Business Unit

Lincoln Electric Automation is responsible for providing engineered solutions, integrated systems, and technical support to Lincoln Electric's ongoing sales efforts specifically focused upon Mechanized (Hard) Automation and Robotic Weld Solutions.

The Department is further responsible for the provision of technical support to direct end-user customers for service / maintenance contracts and warrantee related solutions, as well as, troubleshooting and problem solving with respect to customer issues.

Job Responsibilities
  • Subject Matter Expert - Develop expert knowledge an in-depth understanding of the Mechanized Automation Market
  • Life Cycle Product Management - Develop a clear and compelling product vision and strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and managing a portfolio that addresses market needs and opportunities
  • Perform Market Research - Manage an ongoing research process to capture voice of customer information, industry trends, competitive intelligence and more
  • Product Roadmap - Create and maintain a 3-5 year product roadmap that outlines the product line's development and evolution over time, including feature prioritization
  • Business Case Creation - Work independently or with sales manager to propose data driven product improvements or new product designs which drive incremental sales, profit and market share
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Collaborate with global cross-functional teams and international automation divisions, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment and successful product development and launch
  • New Product Launches - Coordinate with Sales Manager and Marketing Manager to plan and execute product launches, including marketing strategies, communication plans, and sales enablement
    Product Training & Support - Provide technical product support for end-users, distributors, trainers and Lincoln personnel on relevant product lines
  • Mature Product Management - Manage and lead a broad range of activities which include creating strategic product promotions, managing inventory forecasting, assessing product rationalization and proposing applicable cost reductions
  • Continuous Improvement - Contribute to the profitability of the company and ongoing business operations by initiating, recommending and implementing continuous improvement strategies and initiatives.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelors' degree or equivalent work experience preferred, Engineering discipline desired.
  • Previous experience in Product Development, 3-5 years preferred.
  • Previous experience in welding or welding related fields.
  • Technical knowledge of automated welding, fabrication, material handling and assembly equipment applications.
  • Knowledge of market analysis and marketing technics will be favored
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Salesforce a plus.
  • Willing to domestic and international travels for up to 30% of the time
  • Represents the company at public relations activities and other external functions, such as trade shows.
  • Manage travel and marketing expenses.
  • Offer suggestions that will aid in the profitability of the company.
  • Behavioral skills required include: strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well under pressure, strong problem solving skills, self-managed, accountable, and excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly motivated, self-confident, and able to effectively negotiate.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
