Our Respiratory Therapy team plays a critical role in enhancing quality of life and supporting recovery for our patients and residents. We are seeking a
PRN Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality pulmonary care with compassion and clinical excellence. JOB SUMMARY
Provides direct respiratory care to patients within the chronic hospital setting and across Levindale’s continuum of care. Delivers treatment in accordance with regulatory standards including JCAHO, State of Maryland, hospital, and departmental guidelines. Supports interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal respiratory outcomes for patients. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Administer respiratory therapy treatments, modalities, and interventions based on physician orders and patient care plans Perform patient assessments, monitor responses to therapy, and adjust care as appropriate Operate and maintain respiratory care equipment, ensuring safety and compliance Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in rapid response or code situations Accurately document treatments, assessments, and patient progress in the medical record Collaborate with nursing, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient-centered care Educate patients, families, and caregivers on respiratory conditions and therapies REQUIREMENTS
Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field (or equivalent formal training) Less than one (1) year of experience; new graduates encouraged to apply Active
Maryland Registered Respiratory Therapist License Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner through
MDBPQA Certification as a Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRT or RRT eligible) Current
