Job Summary:
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in the Cross-Cover role will work across multiple settings within the Behavioral Health department, including Inpatient, Outpatient, Consultation-Liaison Service, Child & Adolescent, and the Psychiatric Emergency Center, based on staffing needs determined by department clinical leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Coordinates multidisciplinary care to optimize patient outcomes within the scope of practice and under physician supervision as required.
2. Reviews medical charts to assess, diagnose, treat, and educate patients and families.
3. Refer patients to appropriate services as needed.
4. Ensures care delivery aligns with JPS Health Network and Acclaim Physician Group guidelines.
5. Provides evidence-based, compassionate care to improve outcomes and patient satisfaction.
6. Demonstrates patient-centered and value-driven behavior
7. Collaborates with attending physicians, residents, learners, other providers, and support staff to ensure high-quality care.
8. Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record, ensuring compliance with billing, regulatory, and accreditation standards (e.g., The Joint Commission, CMS, and Texas Administrative Code).
9. Participates in Performance Improvement Programs and Peer Review committees as needed.
10. Build positive relationships with staff, partners, patients, and the community to enhance the JPS Health Network and Acclaim Physician Group experience, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.
11. Serves as a community resource.
12. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Provider Schedule: 40 hours/week (M-F) 8hr shifts
Call Schedule: Yes - Inpatient Weekend Call Rotation
