Reporting to the South Region Geographic Operations Manager and partnering with the CEI Operations Leader, this is a โseller-doerโ role combining business development and project delivery. You will lead and grow client relationships, drive recurring and new sales opportunities, and collaborate with sales teams to position Jacobsโ full portfolio of services.
As a Business Leader, you will oversee teams of Project Executives and Lead Project Managers across multiple projects and delivery models (DBB, CMAR, CMc, EPC, DB), providing leadership in safety, quality, schedule, financial, and risk management. You will develop highโperforming teams, deliver exceptional client service, and support growth across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership for the growth and performance of the Vertical Building Construction business across Florida and Puerto Rico, serving Higher Education, Kโ12, Healthcare, Office, and Municipal/Government markets.
- Lead and develop a highโperforming team of Project Executives / Managers delivering complex projects ($10Mโ$500M) and large scale programs ($200Mโ$1B+).
- Maintain overall accountability for program and construction management excellence, client satisfaction, risk management, and financial performance.
- Drive collaborative, regionally aligned business development strategies, partnering with sales, operations, and market leadership to meet and exceed growth targets.
- Provide oversight across the full project lifecycle, including design management, procurement, construction delivery, and selected specialty services.
- Support clientsโ operational readiness through Jacobsโ Transition and Activation services, ensuring seamless handover from project delivery to occupancy and operations.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in vertical building construction, including leadership of Project Managers delivering complex construction programs.
- Demonstrated experience managing large scale capital projects with individual project values of $50M+ or aggregate program responsibility of $100M+.
- Proven vertical construction management experience across one or more of the following sectors: Higher Education, Kโ12, Healthcare, Office Buildings, Municipal Facilities, Criminal Justice/Corrections, Mixed Use, Aviation, or Data Centers.
- Experience with alternative delivery methods, including performance of related leadership and risk management responsibilities.
- Bachelorโs degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout the state of Florida.
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferred.

The base salary range for this position is $200,000.00 to $275,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including jobโrelated skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
