Certified Medical Assistant

Location: Florham, NJ (Territory: Florham Park and Union locations)

Pay: $19-$20/hr

Schedule: M-F 8:00am-5:00pm


Insight Global is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join a growing outpatient healthcare organization. This individual will support providers and nursing staff by delivering high-quality patient care while assisting with clinical, administrative, and operational responsibilities. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced ambulatory care environment. Responsibilities include patient intake, clinical procedures, documentation, and ensuring smooth day-to-day clinic operations.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification through AAMA, NCCT, AMCA, NAHP, NCMA, AMT, or equivalent accredited organization
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of recent Medical Assistant experience in an outpatient clinic, physician office, ambulatory care, or urgent care setting
  • Current BLS certification


NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Infectious disease, specialty clinic, or multi-provider practice experience
  • Experience with Epic
  • Prior triage experience
  • Experience assisting with procedures and specimen collection
  • Phlebotomy experience
  • EKG experience
  • Bilingual communication skills


Responsibilities
Room patients and assist with patient flow throughout the clinic
Collect patient histories, vital signs, and clinical information
Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
Assist providers and nurses with clinical procedures and treatments
Administer injections and perform venipuncture as permitted by state guidelines
Document patient information accurately in the EMR
Coordinate prescription refills and relay provider instructions to patients
Answer patient calls and assist with basic triage support
Obtain medical records, diagnostic reports, and laboratory results
Clean and prepare exam rooms between patient visits
Maintain inventory levels, stock exam rooms, and organize clinical supplies
Support infection control protocols and OSHA compliance requirements
Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as needed



Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
