Human Resources Assistant - Itasca, IL

$50,000 - $60,000/Annually (Dependent on experience) - Plus full benefits

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department
  • Maintain employee records and update information within the HRIS
  • Assist with onboarding new employees, including new hire paperwork and orientation scheduling
  • Coordinate interviews and communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process
  • Support recruiting efforts by posting jobs and tracking applicants
  • Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures
  • Prepare employment documentation and maintain confidential personnel files
  • Assist with employee engagement activities and company events
  • Help ensure HR documentation remains accurate and compliant
  • Support additional HR projects as needed


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 3-12 months of office or internship experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
