Founded in 2008, Hightower is a wealth management firm that provides investment, financial and retirement planning services to individuals, foundations and family offices, and 401(k) consulting and cash management services to corporations. Hightower's capital solutions, operational support services, size and scale empower its vibrant community of independent-minded wealth advisors to grow their businesses and help their clients achieve their financial vision. Based in Chicago with advisors across the U.S., we operate as a registered investment advisor (RIA).
The Role
We are looking for an Associate Wealth Advisor who is a relationship builder at heart, with strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset that excels in a fast-paced and evolving organization. You are self-motivated, a proactive learner who performs at a high level under variable workloads, and have a passion for making a positive impact on client's lives. You will report to the Senior Wealth Advisor.
You have strong professional communication and interpersonal skills. You can motivate yourself to manage a variety of tasks and solve problems with little oversight. You will have experience and attributes in the following areas:
  • Strong organizational skills and follow-through to monitor progress
  • Introductory understanding of financial planning concepts, advisory operations, and client paperwork
  • Education or work experience in the wealth management field

What You'll Do
  • Onboard new clients
  • Help with preparation for and follow-up from client reviews
  • Respond to client service requests
  • Prepare investment proposals
  • Support multiple roles across the practice - advisory, financial planning, operations, and relationship management - through a variety of tasks
  • Follow and have knowledge of regulatory requirements

What You'll Bring
  • 3 or more years of experience in investment management business
  • CFP® certification or on track to obtain certification
  • Securities representative licenses, Series 65 or 66
  • Introductory knowledge of different financial planning and investment concepts
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to handle multiple undertakings at once, ranging from analytical to relational tasks
  • Team-oriented to support a growing advisory practice
  • Experience with eMoney, Salesforce, and Tamarac a plus

  • Annual base salary of $75,000-$80,000 based on qualifications and experience
