Serving as both the organization's first and final quality checkpoint, this position acts as a critical quality gatekeeper to ensure that no nonconforming, damaged, improperly documented, or incorrectly identified product enters inventory or is released to customers.

The Quality Control Inspector is accountable for verifying material condition, certifications, traceability records, maintenance documentation, inventory transactions, and customer requirements while ensuring compliance with company quality procedures, FAA regulations, AS9120 standards, customer contractual obligations, and industry best practices. The role directly supports regulatory compliance, audit readiness, inventory integrity, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and company profitability.

Additionally, the position is responsible for ensuring that all incoming and outgoing aviation materials, documentation, and inventory transactions comply with company quality standards, customer requirements, regulatory expectations, and traceability requirements. The Quality Control Inspector performs detailed inspections, validates product identification and certification documentation, manages nonconforming material, maintains accurate inventory records within Quantum ERP, and collaborates cross-functionally with Quality Assurance, Sales, Purchasing, Asset Management, Inventory Control, Repair Management, and Warehouse Operations to ensure compliant and efficient material movement throughout the organization. • Material Conformity & Traceability Integrity - Accountable for verifying product identity, condition, certification, traceability, and documentation accuracy to ensure only conforming, properly documented, and fully traceable material is accepted into inventory or released to customers.
  • Inventory Accuracy & Transaction Control - Accountable for maintaining inventory integrity through accurate transaction processing, material status control, ERP record accuracy, inventory reconciliations, and alignment between physical inventory and system records.
  • Nonconforming Material & Risk Management - Accountable for identifying, controlling, investigating, and resolving quality discrepancies, documentation deficiencies, traceability issues, and nonconforming material to prevent quality escapes, inventory errors, and unauthorized shipment.
  • Operational Performance & Customer Satisfaction - Accountable for supporting efficient material flow, on-time shipment performance, audit readiness, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction, operational effectiveness, and business performance.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Perform detailed inspections of incoming and outgoing aviation materials to ensure compliance with company quality standards, customer requirements, FAA regulations, AS9120 requirements, and applicable industry standards.
  • Verify part numbers, serial numbers, quantities, product condition, identification markings, shelf-life information, and packaging integrity.

  • Place materials into QC Hold (QCHold), Quarantine (QUAR), or other designated status locations as required.
  • Coordinate discrepancy investigations, corrective actions, and resolution activities with affected departments and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, status codes, transaction updates and location assignments within Quantum ERP.
  • Verify alignment between physical inventory, inventory documentation, and ERP system records.
  • Manage receiving transactions, inventory reconciliations, material status changes, backlog reviews, aged transactions, and inventory discrepancy investigations.
  • Perform system validations and inventory audits to support inventory accuracy and inventory integrity objectives.
