Job description
Job Summary:
HCLTech is seeking an experienced Test Lead to oversee end-to-end functional testing and software quality assurance activities across enterprise applications. This role involves leading testing efforts, developing test strategies, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products through effective testing processes.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage end-to-end functional testing activities across software development projects.
• Develop and execute test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Oversee testing efforts and ensure timely delivery of quality assurance milestones.
• Perform and guide Selenium-based automation testing to improve testing efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and testing objectives.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and communicate findings to project teams and leadership.
• Ensure adherence to software testing standards, methodologies, and quality best practices.
• Track, report, and manage defects through resolution and retesting cycles.
• Mentor and support QA team members on testing processes, tools, and automation best practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive quality assurance efforts throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
• Proven experience leading end-to-end functional testing activities.
• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium automation testing.
• Extensive knowledge of software testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
• Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
• Strong understanding of defect management and test lifecycle processes.
• Experience testing web-based applications and enterprise software systems.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred:
• Experience with additional automation testing tools and frameworks.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing practices.
• Familiarity with API testing tools and methodologies.
• ISTQB Certification in Software Testing (preferred).
• Experience mentoring QA engineers and leading testing teams.
• Strong understanding of quality engineering and test automation best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
