WE’RE HIRING | SME & ARCHITECT – AI DATA CENTER POWER INFRASTRUCTURE

HCLTech is looking for a highly experienced SME & Architect – Data Center Power Infrastructure to join our AI Data Center Power Design & Build Center of Excellence. This is a strategic opportunity to define and govern power infrastructure standards for next-generation AI-ready and hyperscale data centers.

Virginia Beach, VA | Onsite – Hybrid Optional
Full-Time

Key Requirements:
• 13+ years of experience in Mission-Critical / Data Center Electrical Design
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline
• Expertise in AI & Hyperscale Data Center Power Infrastructure
• MV/LV Power Distribution | UPS | Generators | PDUs | RPPs | Busway Systems
• Design of scalable and resilient power architectures for AI / GPU workloads
• Strong knowledge of N+1 | 2N | Redundancy & Resiliency Models
• Experience with Load Flow | Short-Circuit | Power Quality Analysis
• Expertise in Electrical Design, Engineering, Commissioning & Deployment
• Experience developing Global Design Standards | Engineering Templates | Deployment Frameworks
• Strong understanding of high-density AI/GPU power requirements
• Experience working with Hyperscalers, Global OEMs & Engineering Teams
• Strong technical leadership and architecture governance experience

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and govern MV/LV electrical power infrastructure for next-generation data centers.
• Develop scalable, resilient power architectures supporting high-density AI/GPU workloads.
• Define and evaluate redundancy, resiliency, and availability strategies.
• Perform and oversee load flow, short-circuit, and power quality studies.
• Establish global power infrastructure standards, engineering guidelines, and design frameworks.
• Collaborate with OEMs, engineering teams, construction partners, and hyperscale customers.
• Provide technical governance throughout the Design → Build → Commissioning lifecycle.
• Drive standardization and best practices across global AI Data Center programs.

A senior Data Center Electrical Architect / Power Infrastructure SME with deep mission-critical expertise who can provide technical leadership and establish scalable power standards for the rapidly evolving AI and Hyperscale Data Center ecosystem.
