You will work closely with battery engineers, environmental technicians, and the Battery Hardware team to ensure lab equipment meets quality standards and that all issues are identified, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review vendor test plans and test environments; identify and document deviations from requirements during FAT and SAT.
  • Coordinate internal approvals for deviations prior to equipment acceptance and validate FAT/SAT results against defined criteria.
  • Support cross-functional teams during UAT and assist in resolving outstanding issues.
  • Review and evaluate battery equipment calibration data to confirm instruments are fit for purpose and assess measurement uncertainty.
  • Ensure calibration records are complete, accurate, and compliant with quality standards and laboratory procedures.
  • Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and partner with vendors and internal stakeholders on corrective actions.
  • Participate in vendor review meetings to track hardware and software issue resolution.
  • Communicate quality findings, risks, and recommendations to technical and management stakeholders.
  • Support quality verification activities across laboratory users, vendor sites, and internal teams to ensure equipment and processes comply with specifications and requirements.
  • Investigate and document equipment or process failures and perform initial root-cause triage.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in battery testing, including knowledge of:
  • Capacity Testing
  • Cycle Life Testing

  • DCIR (Direct Current Internal Resistance)
  • Calendar Life Testing
  • Strong understanding of Quality Engineering principles, including:
  • Calibration Management
  • Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA)
  • Equipment Qualification Processes (FAT/SAT/UAT)
  • Ability to review and interpret calibration data and assess instrument fitness for purpose.
  • Experience working with external vendors in a quality or engineering capacity.
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret test results and communicate findings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally to vendor locations.

Preferred Qualifications
