Job description

Retail Store Generalist

This position is responsible for working on the sales floor and/or production area.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Learn and perform all Cashier and Production Associate functions in the retail store
  • Provide back-up support in all areas for vacations/staff shortages
  • Provide excellent service to customers, donors, fellow associates and participants
  • May act as key holder if required
  • Participate in the new hire onboarding process as necessary
  • Make decisions on product quality and price items accordingly; researching value as necessary
  • Meet or exceed the attendance expectations for this position
  • Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers, and participants
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Personally participate in ongoing cross training opportunities, education and development as well as supporting others in their efforts to develop.

Qualification Requirements
  • GED or High School Diploma preferred
  • Knowledge of Computer applications preferred
  • Previous cashier, customer service, production, retail experience required

  • Be flexible and adaptable to work and cover different areas on any given day; may be responsible for covering different areas in one day.
  • Must be able to work quickly with a sense of urgency and be able to multi-task.

  • Desire to work hard and perform well with dedication and great work ethic.
  • Communicate effectively with managers, customers, participants and other associates.
Physical Demands

Medium Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Involves walking or standing most of the time with a degree of pushing and pulling.

Work Environment

Moderate Occasionally exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise fumes, dust, etc.)
