Job Summary and Qualifications

As an MRI Technologist you will operate the MRI scanners to obtain images for use by the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.   • You will perform procedures to demonstrate sectional anatomic images for interpretations by; or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
  • You will exercise professional judgment in performance of services and maintain a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics.
  • You will demonstrate proficiency and knowledge of non-imaging procedures/skills for all age groups served.
  • You will perform procedures efficiently and according to the protocol for radiologic interpretation
  • You may need to life patients or assist in lifting on and off the exam table to position for appropriately for procedures.
  • You will need to perform MRI procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision to keep procedures on schedule with no deviation due to lack of technical expertise.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology Program required
  • Current state licensure as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) required
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in MRI preferred
  • Venipuncture Certification preferred within one year
