Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Lead Business Systems Analyst - Hybrid for a contract position with a Regional Financial Institution located in Columbus, OH. This is a 3+ month contract opportunity. This is a hybrid position.
Compensation: $60.00 - $78.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications
Position Overview:
In this role, you will be part of a team working to develop solutions enabling the business to leverage data as an asset. As a Lead Business Systems Analyst, you will work with the business to understand their needs, document technical requirements, and build and manage the product backlog. Key technologies include Snowflake, DataStage, Python/PySpark, Infogix and Tableau.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a liaison and knowledge source with stakeholders, product owner, and team members
  • Work in an Agile environment and be expected to take requirements and effectively develop Features and User Stories with the team
  • Work with the Agile team, Product Owner, and business stakeholders to facilitate and gather requirements, including documenting the source-to-target data mappings
  • Work with Product Owner and other SMEs to refine Epics which triggers creation of Features and User Stories
  • Facilitate backlog refinement sessions to refine user story details, acceptance criteria, and establish story points with team members
  • Participate in the identification, quantification, and mitigation of project risks and issues
  • Responsible for working with the Application BSAs to identify and escalate impediments to completing the requirements to the Scrum Master

Primary Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in a Data Warehouse environment
  • 3+ years of experience using SQL to create ad-hoc queries and analyze data
  • 5+ years of experience with Snowflake or AWS S3
  • Experience leading other BSAs on a project team

Desired Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in the financial services (banking) industry
  • 5+ years of experience in data modeling activities in Erwin or other modeling tools
  • 5+ years of experience with enterprise data warehousing best practices and standards
  • 5+ years of experience in data mapping experience creating source-to-target mappings
  • Highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
