Job Title: IT Infrastructure Engineer
Job Location: San Jose, CA
Job Type: Contract

Job Description:

  • Operating Systems: Proficient in managing and supporting multiple OS environments, including all flavors of Windows and Linux.
  • Windows Domain Administration: Skilled in Active Directory management, including FSMO role migration between domain controllers.
  • DNS Management: Hands-on experience with DNS configuration and troubleshooting on both Windows and Linux systems using tools like BIND.
  • Networking: Experienced with Cisco networking equipment — including routers, switches, firewalls, and terminal servers.
  • Scripting & Automation: Proficient in Bash, PowerShell, Python, and automation/configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, and Puppet.
  • Cisco UCS & Hardware: Strong working knowledge of Cisco UCS Manager, Fabric Interconnects, and server hardware (RAID, disks, memory, CPU, etc.).
  • Agile & Scrum: Experienced in Agile methodologies and working effectively within Scrum teams; SCRUM Master experience is a plus.
  • Project Management: Capable of managing projects end-to-end, from initiation to completion, including planning, execution, and closure.
  • Tools & Platforms: Proficient in using ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Visual Studio Code, Putty, MobaXterm, SharePoint, Visio, and various terminal/scripting environments.
