Property Manager

New Frontier Homes, Property Management

Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week

$50,000/Year


SUMMARY: The Property Manager is responsible for the overall operation, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and resident relations of the New Frontier Homes housing community. This position ensures compliance with Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) regulations, company policies, and fair housing requirements while maintaining high occupancy levels and providing quality customer service to residents.

SUPERVISOR: Director of Property Management


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

โ€ขManage the daily operations of the property, including leasing, resident relations, maintenance coordination, and rent collection.

โ€ขEnsure compliance with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) regulations and all applicable federal, state, and local housing requirements.

โ€ขReview and approve resident certifications, recertifications, income verifications, and compliance documentation.

โ€ขMaintain accurate resident files and prepare for compliance audits and inspections.

โ€ขMonitor occupancy, delinquency, and vacancy reports and implement strategies to maximize occupancy.

โ€ขCoordinate property inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed in a timely manner.

โ€ขAddress resident concerns and resolve disputes professionally and efficiently.

โ€ขEnsure compliance with Fair Housing laws, landlord-tenant regulations, and company policies.

โ€ขMaintain positive relationships with owners, investors, regulatory agencies, and community partners.

โ€ขPrepare monthly management reports and other required documentation.

โ€ขOther duties as assigned.

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

โ€ขAssociate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

โ€ขPrevious property management experience required.

โ€ขLIHTC, HUD, or affordable housing experience preferred.

โ€ขTax Credit Specialist (TCS), preferred

โ€ขKnowledge of Yardi or other property management software preferred.

โ€ขStrong understanding of Fair Housing regulations.

โ€ขExcellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

โ€ขAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet regulatory deadlines.

โ€ขAbility to walk the property and conduct inspections.

โ€ขAbility to work at a computer for extended periods.


LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

โ€ขHigh school diploma or equivalent required

โ€ขCertified Apartment Manager (CAM), preferred

โ€ขUnrestricted State of Ohio driverโ€™s license


COMPLIANCE:

The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate. Stress level can be high at times.
