Job Description
Eurofins Environment Testing Southwest, Calscience has an Project Manager I opening at our state-of-the-art Tustin Laboratory.
The Project Manager I will work with Account Managers (Sales), other Project Managers, and the Laboratory Director to communicate client expectations, and data or quality concerns. They are accountable for coordinating and managing clients' projects through all phases of laboratory operations, including project set-up and maintenance, login review, communication of analytical issues, client account maintenance, reporting, invoicing, bottle orders, client pickups, and identification of work share facilities. The Project Manager role fosters and develops client relationships in support of the laboratory mission.
  • Demonstrates active leadership and promotes the company vision
  • Regular attendance and punctuality to support client service
  • Responsible for daily reporting of finalized reports and communication with clients
  • Maintain customer data base in LIMS, ensure projects are updated, all info in the LIMS is accurate and useful
  • Engage with assistance to ensure customer deliverables are achieved and develop teamwork
  • Interact with operations and sales staff cooperatively to improve and optimize work flow, project set up and requirements and client satisfaction "fit-for-purpose"
  • Accept more challenging assignments, complex or larger clients, and work to develop a strong working relationship.
  • Work with Project Manager Assistant to set up projects, bottle orders, invoices
  • Sign final reports and work with lab staff in coordination of incoming work
  • Demonstrate an ongoing focus on client satisfaction by meeting expected turnaround times and managing personal backlog
  • Attend department meetings and participate fully
  • Engage in clients and look to visit 1-2 clients quarterly
  • Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner and aligned to company health and safety policy, as amended from time to time and in compliance with Eurofins quality standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years' experience in Client Services
  • Minimum BS degree in science field with minimum 12 units of chemistry and/or biology coursework
  • Ability to demonstrate an ongoing focus on client satisfaction and meet expected turnaround times
  • Demonstrated commitment to availability to clients by presence and timely response
  • Ability to work with Account Managers (Sales), other Project Managers, and the Laboratory Director to communicate client expectations, and data or quality concerns
  • Basic technical understanding of many aspects of the laboratory, regulatory requirements, and specific method requirements
  • Basic understanding of the laboratory business and inter-departmental relationships
  • Requires judgment or initiative in resolving issues and making recommendations
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Requires attention to details and good documentation skills
  • Must have computer (Word, Excel) and office related skills

Additional Information
The compensation range for this position is $70,304 - $75,000 per year depending on level of experience.
Position is full-time and candidates must be able to work Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm with possible weekends as needed.
