POSITION: Administrative Assistant
LOCATION: Elyria, Ohio
SHIFT: Monday - Friday, 7am to 3:30pm
STARTING PAY: $22.00 an hour
Main Responsibilities:
  • Monitor all operating parameters of the extruders and multiple pieces of equipment to ensure quality production, minimize unplanned stops.
  • Greet and direct clients and applicants, sign in visitors, and announce their arrival to the appropriate party.
  • Field telephone calls and manage plant entry, including receiving messages for supervisors and management.
  • Serve as the point of contact for janitorial, uniform, and vending services.
  • Assist Plant Manager and other departments as needed.
  • Create and edit documents, perform data entry, and manage sorting, screening, and distributing incoming mail and faxes.
  • Order office supplies as needed, handle all purchase orders (POs), and manage purchasing for the entire plant if needed.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two years' experience as a receptionist or administrative assistant, with the ability to work independently.
  • Reading, writing, and mathematical competency, along with excellent computer skills (MS Office).
  • Good interpersonal, organizational, communication, multitasking, and phone skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization.
  • Rational and logical analysis skills with the ability to withstand frequent interruptions to workflow.
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, and walk on hard and/or uneven surfaces in all types of weather for the duration of the shift.
  • Lift, carry, and/or maneuver up to 30 lbs.
  • Repetitive use of keyboard and mouse to operate a computer for required tasks.

The compensation for this position will typically start at $22.00 an hour. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes healthcare coverage, a 401(k)-retirement savings plan, paid company holidays, paid vacation time, paid sick time, parental leave, short- and long-term disability leave, and an employee assistance program.
