Job description

Chef de Partie (CDP) – New Italian Restaurant

We are looking for a talented and motivated Chef de Partie to join the opening team of a new Italian restaurant focused on simple, ingredient-driven Italian cooking, fresh handmade pasta, and classic Italian dishes.

The restaurant is being developed in partnership with an experienced Michelin-level chef, with a strong focus on quality ingredients, proper technique, consistency, and building a serious kitchen culture.

This is a great opportunity for a cook who wants to work in a professional kitchen, continue developing their skills, and be part of a restaurant from the beginning.

Responsibilities

● Work and maintain a designated station during service

● Prepare and execute dishes according to established recipes and standards

● Assist with daily mise en place and production

● Work with fresh pasta, sauces, proteins, vegetables, and traditional Italian preparations

● Maintain excellent organization and cleanliness of your station

● Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures

● Communicate effectively with the Chef de Cuisine and kitchen team

● Maintain consistency in seasoning, cooking, portioning, and presentation

● Assist with receiving, storage, labeling, and rotation of products

● Minimize waste and respect food-cost standards

● Help create a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen environment

Qualifications

● 2+ years of experience in a professional kitchen preferred

● Experience in Italian restaurants or fresh pasta is a plus

● Strong knife skills and understanding of fundamental cooking techniques

● Ability to work cleanly, efficiently, and with urgency

● Strong attention to detail and consistency

● Reliable, punctual, and professional

● Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen

● Willingness to learn and take direction

● Passion for Italian food and high-quality ingredients
