Overview
Deutsche Bank Research is responsible for economic and financial analysis within Deutsche Bank Group and covers asset allocation and all major industry sectors. We analyze relevant trends for the bank in financial markets, the economy and society, highlighting risks and opportunities and acting as a consultant for the bank, its clients and stakeholders. Deutsche Bank Research delivers high-quality, independent analysis and actively promotes public debate on economic, fiscal, labor market and social policy issues.
The individual will sit with the Credit Strategy team in New York. This involves macro analysis, on-going authoring and production of research to promote investment views on global corporate bond markets and marketing of those views to internal and external clients.

What You'll Do
  • Formulate and market actionable themes and trades across the entire US credit universe, from CDX/derivative to US investment-grade to US speculative-grade credit markets
  • Provide clients (including asset managers and corporates) with insights into US credit markets based on both macro (top-down) and micro (bottom-up) analysis. Modelling and written reports will be complemented with client meetings

How You'll Lead
  • Support the credit business - both primary and secondary - through idea generation and data analysis
  • Contribute to team publications that cross asset classes and topics
  • Marketing of those views to internal and external clients

Skills You'll Need
  • An established credit strategist with experience in analyzing the corporate bond market. Expertise in CDX/Derivative markets is highly preferred
  • A track record of producing US credit research from a fundamental, technical & macro perspective. Expertise in building out credit index fundamentals is highly preferred
  • Ability to generate ideas and convert them into commercial research for clients is crucial

Skills That Will Help You Excel
  • Attention to detail and passion for producing professional-looking publications that deliver insights and shape conversations in the industry
  • The position is client-facing and strong presentational and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Strong analytical and writing skills
  • MBA or Masters in Finance/Economics and/or CFA certification preferred but not required

Expectations
It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $190,000 to $300,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
