You’ll join an integrated Software Solutions Team, collaborating closely with software engineers and other DevOps professionals to design, implement and refine the CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, observability solutions and security practices that keep mission‑critical applications reliable, secure and scalable. If you enjoy solving complex problems with a focus on quality, efficiency and innovation, come build with us. This is a full‑time, hybrid position based in Ashburn, VA, with minimal travel (0–10%).

Essential Functions:

  • Implement and manage configuration management solutions to ensure consistency across servers and applications.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and artifact repositories for both on‑prem and cloud environments.
  • Apply security best practices, compliance standards and system hardening across environments, including access management and audit logging to ensure accountability for all data flows.
  • Build observability solutions (monitoring, logging, alerting) for both on‑prem and cloud systems.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to foster a security‑first DevSecOps culture, using automation to improve consistency, speed and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, deployment and provisioning issues across development, staging and production environments.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field, or 3+ years with a Master’s degree, or equivalent experience.
  • On‑Prem Infrastructure & Linux: Experience managing virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi, automating OS provisioning using PXE boot and Kickstart, strong Linux administration (RHEL & Ubuntu) and applying system hardening through patching, updates and dependency management.
  • Cloud Platforms & Infrastructure as Code: Strong understanding of AWS services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, Route 53, VPC networking and Security Hub, with hands‑on experience using Terraform and/or CloudFormation and Ansible or Chef, and designing for scalability, security, cost optimization, resilience and disaster recovery.
  • CI/CD & Automation: Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions and self‑hosted runners; proficient in scripting and automation using Python, Bash and lambdas; able to manage artifact repositories such as Nexus and S3, including artifact lifecycle management and setting up mirrors in restricted environments.
  • Monitoring / Logging / Alerting: Experience designing and operating observability stacks (e.g. Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, CloudWatch, Graylog), including building dashboards, centralized log management and configuring alerting systems for proactive issue detection and response.
  • Security & Access Control: Strong grasp of least‑privilege principles, identity management and audit logging. Ability to obtain a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience operating in GovCloud or regulated environments (e.g. defense).
  • Exposure to AI/ML pipelines and experience using AI‑assisted tooling to accelerate automation and operations.
  • Certifications (e.g. AWS DevOps Engineer / Solutions Architect, CompTIA Security+, CISSP or equivalent).
  • Strong problem‑solving, communication and collaboration abilities.
