LiveBarn is looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to join our evolving and fast-paced technology team. In this role, you will focus on developing and maintaining our product website as well as internal tools. We are looking for a passionate individual who is eager to adapt and learn LiveBarn’s development standards and design practices.


What will you be doing?

  • Design, develop, optimize, and maintain fully responsive websites from end to end using today's best standards
  • Develop, implement, and maintain front-end applications with Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Maintain and improve our front-end code, code review, design brainstorming
  • Perform code walkthroughs and testing
  • Provide development recommendations of all supported application technologies

What Do You Need to Succeed?

  • 5+ years of experience as a frontend software engineer
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong grasp of adaptive/responsive web design, including accessibility best practices (ARIA attributes)
  • Open-minded and willing to adapt to existing development standards and structures.
  • Strong ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset (English required to support and service out-of-province clients)
  • Receptive to feedback and committed to continuous improvement.

Strong hands-on experience with all of the following skills:

  • JavaScript and TypeScript
  • React.js
  • REST API and GraphQL API integrations
  • Material-UI, SCSS
  • Jest, React Testing Library
  • Git
