Job Description:

Quevera is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph to support enterprise cloud modernization and migration initiatives in Ft. Meade, Maryland. In this role, you will serve as the technical lead for migrating enterprise applications from an existing cloud platform to AWS while modernizing applications for serverless deployment. You will design and implement resilient, highly available cloud architectures supporting multi-region operations, disaster recovery, and hybrid cloud integration.

Working alongside engineering teams and project stakeholders, you will develop scalable cloud solutions, automate infrastructure deployments, and provide technical leadership throughout the cloud migration lifecycle. This role requires extensive experience with AWS architecture, cloud migration strategies, enterprise storage, infrastructure resiliency, and modern cloud engineering best practices.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the migration of enterprise applications from an existing cloud platform to AWS utilizing lift-and-shift and application modernization strategies.
  • Design and implement serverless architectures utilizing AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, and EventBridge.
  • Develop and implement HOT-HOT (active-active) resiliency solutions across multiple AWS Regions.
  • Design disaster recovery and business continuity solutions, including on-premises backup and failover capabilities.
  • Architect and deploy Amazon FSx for Windows File Server supporting multi-region replication and on-premises integration.
  • Design hybrid cloud solutions integrating AWS with on-premises infrastructure.
  • Develop cloud networking architectures utilizing Amazon VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, VPNs, and Direct Connect.
  • Automate cloud infrastructure deployments utilizing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK).
  • Ensure cloud solutions meet security, compliance, performance, availability, and resiliency requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, and cloud migration support throughout the project lifecycle.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of enterprise IT infrastructure and cloud architecture experience.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of hands-on AWS architecture and engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cloud migrations from Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), VMware Cloud, or other cloud environments into AWS.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing AWS serverless architectures.
  • Experience designing HOT-HOT (active-active) multi-region AWS deployments.
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon FSx for Windows File Server, including multi-region replication and Active Directory integration.
  • Experience designing hybrid cloud environments integrating AWS and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS networking, security, storage, compute, and disaster recovery services.
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code utilizing Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and enterprise file services.
  • Excellent communication, technical leadership, and problem-solving skills.
