JOB SUMMARY:
The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and safety of the facility. This role ensures an efficient and secure working environment by managing vendors, contracts, maintenance services, and operational systems while optimizing costs and performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facility Operations Management
- Oversee all services and operations within the facility
- Ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained work environment
- Coordinate office moves and space utilization
Maintenance & Vendor Management
- Manage building maintenance through external vendors and contractors
- Obtain quotes, negotiate contracts, and select cost-effective solutions
- Track building upkeep and plan short- and long-term maintenance
Cost & Budget Management
- Monitor and control operational expenses
- Compare costs for services and materials to ensure best value
- Verify invoices and ensure alignment with contract pricing
Systems & Compliance
- Manage operational systems (BMS, CMMS – Blue Mountain preferred)
- Work with security teams to maintain safety systems
- Respond to emergencies (HVAC failures, alarms, system issues)
Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with building management for grounds and infrastructure upkeep
- Manage contractor and vendor relationships
- Ensure effective utilization of maintenance
