Job description

Medical Director (Addiction Medicine) – Beaverton Recovery Center

Job Details: Beaverton, OR 97006 – Full Time – Graduate Degree – Salary: $300,000.00 - $325,000.00 – Travel: Negligible – Shift: Day.

Who We Are

CODA, Inc. is Oregon’s oldest opioid treatment provider and one of its most respected. For decades, we have combined evidence-based medicine with genuine compassion to meet people in their hardest moments. We don’t just treat substance use disorders – we restore lives and rebuild communities.

At BRC, we have built a co-located Sobering Center, Withdrawal Management unit, and Residential program that work together as one coordinated system of care. You will be the physician leader who makes that system run at its best.

What Makes This Role Unique
  • A True Continuum of Care on One Campus – You will oversee medical services across all three levels simultaneously: Sobering → Withdrawal Management → Residential. Patients move through a coordinated pathway, and your clinical vision will shape every step of that journey.
  • Build and Elevate a Team – This role is as much about people as it is about medicine. You’ll train, develop, and mentor provider staff across WDM and Residential programs, growing the clinical culture from within and creating an environment where great people do their best work.
  • Lead with Data, Improve with Purpose – You’ll implement and track meaningful performance metrics, drive quality improvement, and ensure every program meets and exceeds regulatory standards, including controlled substance compliance.
  • Real Collaboration at Every Level – You won’t be working in a silo. You’ll partner directly with the Sobering/WDM Nurse Manager, the Senior Medical Director, and program leadership across the organization. This is a team that wants to hear your voice.
What You’ll Own
  • Medical oversight across Sobering, Withdrawal Management, and Residential services.
  • Training, development, and clinical support for WDM and Residential provider staff.
  • Implementation and tracking of medical performance metrics and quality indicators.
  • Regulatory compliance across all programs, including controlled substance regulations.
  • Collaboration with the Sobering/WDM Nurse Manager and Senior Medical Director on care coordination and strategy.
  • Development and continuous improvement of policies, protocols, and evidence-based care standards.
  • Direct patient care and consultation on complex, high-acuity cases.
What You BringCredentials
  • MD, DO, or Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensed in Oregon.
  • Current, unrestricted DEA license.
  • Board Certification in Addiction Medicine or equivalent advanced certification.
Experience
  • 2+ years in community health, primary care, urgent care, or behavioral health settings.
  • Experience with co-occurring disorders and high‑acuity populations.
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership – you’ve led teams and made them better.
Skills That Set You Apart
  • Deep knowledge of addiction medicine and pharmacology; methadone experience is a strong plus.
  • A systems thinker who can see the big picture without losing sight of the individual patient.
  • A natural collaborator who builds trust across clinical and operational teams.
  • Data‑fluent, quality‑focused, and committed to continuous improvement.
Why CODA
  • Mission that means something – every decision you make improves real lives.
  • Leadership with reach – influence care across multiple programs and service lines.
  • A team that’s got your back – collaborative, values‑driven, and invested in your success.
  • Competitive compensation – salary, medical/dental/vision, retirement, and generous PTO.
  • Room to grow – professional development and a clear path to expanded influence.

Ready to Lead Recovery at a New Level?

If you’ve been waiting for a role where your clinical expertise, leadership instincts, and passion for addiction medicine can all show up at once – this is it.

Apply today. Join CODA and help shape the future of integrated recovery care in Oregon.
