CACI is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a mid-sized program within CACI’s Aerospace Solutions Group in San Antonio, TX. You will need to quickly accept responsibility for the scope, schedule, and cost for one or more multi-faceted projects focused on aerospace electronics and electro-mechanical systems development and production.

What you will get to do :

  • Addresses daily challenges that arise from operating in a highly matrixed, partially virtual organization. Challenges faced are frequently complex and require broad-based solutions that impact multiple areas of the organization.
  • Conducts briefings to mid-level leaders both within and outside of the program.
  • Responsible for communicating with parties internal and external to the organization, which may include customers or vendors.
  • Works from the CACI San Antonio office, virtually, and from out-of-state customer locations.
  • Follows internal configuration management, ISO and AS9100 processes to optimize organizational efficiencies.
  • Directs efforts of cross-competency teams. Directs organizational resources to support multiple concurrent teams of engineers and production technicians.
  • Supports proposal activity related to the program or project, including drafting scope of work, performance work statements, work specifications, schedules and budgets.

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of one or more aerospace repair support projects to maximize value to both the customer and to the company
  • Communicates plans and execution status with stakeholders, to include technical progress of aerospace mechanical, electrical, and software engineering efforts
  • Reports project status to the Program Manager and supports in leadership reviews
  • Manages and oversees subcontractor efforts in support of the contract and assigned projects
  • Manages acquisition and employment of project resources and control financial and administrative aspects of the project.
  • Demonstrates strong financial management background, with experience in managing firm fixed price projects
  • Develops schedules and budgets and calculates earned value.
  • Directs and coordinates subcontractors in project support activities

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • A Secret Clearance must be obtainable (US Citizen)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP®), or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification, or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Program Management certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Seven or more years of experience in managing multiple functional areas concurrently for businesses providing products and services to DoD organizations, to include functional engineering management, quality programs, configuration management, and security and facilities.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of multi-tasking as required to support a range of recurring responsibilities

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Master's Degree in engineering, aerospace, computer science, or other related technical field
  • Experience in directing prototype develop and low-rate production and electronic manufacturing operations
  • Significant, relevant experience with AS-9100-certified programs
  • Experience with Microsoft Project
  • Best candidates will be extremely process-oriented and value-focused
  • Proven experience managing in a military depot or intermediate level repair facility
  • Proficiency with managing production of avionics automated test sets and automated test equipment
