We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Administrator to develop and maintain Legal Aid’s case management & time keeping system, grant compliance reporting, and data accuracy. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience working with multiple data sources, and expertise in Microsoft Power BI, data modeling, and reporting. This is a full-time, on-site position, based at Legal Aid’s downtown Cincinnati office. The position, which reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer, supports the operation of Southwest Ohio’s largest non-profit law firm, including client services, finance, and grant reporting.

Position Description
Partnering with practice group managers and functional teams, this position helps Legal Aid to understand reporting needs and key performance indicators (KPIs). In addition to this collaboration, this position is expected to deliver training and support to end users on Power BI tools, dashboards, case management & timekeeping systems and provide help desk & software use support for staff.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards.
- Create intuitive and user-friendly dashboards that support executive, operational, and strategic decision-making.
- Optimize report performance and ensure accuracy and consistency of data.
- Gather, clean, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
- Develop and maintain data models, relationships, measures, and calculated columns using DAX.
- Identify trends and patterns through data analysis.
- Perform ad hoc analysis to support Legal Aid’s Managing Attorneys, Director of Development & Communications, Executive Director and the Chief Financial Officer.
- Connect Power BI to various data sources including SQL databases, Excel files, cloud applications, APIs, and enterprise systems.
- Monitor data quality and troubleshoot data-related issues.
Qualifications
The successful application will meet the following qualifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience developing reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
- Strong proficiency with DAX, Power Query, and data modeling concepts.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working with complex datasets.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Key skills include Microsoft Power BI and dashboard development, Data Modeling and DAX, SQL and ETL, KPI Development and Reporting, Data Analysis, and experience with creating Crystal and Access reports, a plus
Compensation and Benefits
Annual salary is $70,000 or more, depending on experience. The Legal Aid Society offers an excellent benefit package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, pension, and generous PTO.
