Job description

Centurion is proud to be the provider of medical and mental health services to the PA Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a full-time Statewide Assistant Program Manager to support our state correctional facilities across the state of Pennsylvania.
Salary-$95,000
Location: Central, PA with 50% traveling throughout the state. Hybrid role
Schedule: 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri, between the hours of 7am-5pm
Under the direction of the Regional Vice President, assist Program Manager in managing the overall clinical and non-clinical functions and activities of a multidisciplinary team providing services to incarcerated offenders in a correctional setting to meet service delivery requirements of a specific Centurion contract.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
• Provide technical and administrative oversight to staff, addressing and resolving problems or conflicts
• Develop MHM staff into a cohesive effective mental health staff
• Hire, orient, counsel, supervise, train, review, and evaluate the work of a multidisciplinary team
• Coordinate the annual performance review process for staff in a timely manner
• Formulate and/or communicate and implement contract-specific policies and procedures
• Ensure that clinical practices are consistent with NCCHC mental health standards
• Update executive management on overall program's progress and/or needs in staffing, performance, CQI, legal compliance and budget/fiscal management
• Serve as MHM liaison to client in collaboration with the Program Manager and Regional Vice President
• Review and evaluate treatment and administrative procedures and outcomes
• Respond to inquiries and concerns of contract and site correctional administration
• Coordinate/delegate responsibility for offender discharges or transfers
• Monitor, assess and advise staff on clinical or MHM or facility related procedures and protocol as needed
• Ensure regular conduct and documentation of staff meetings
• Coordinate Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program and performance audits
• Ensure that recommendations from CQI and performance audits are implemented and the results of the corrective actions are monitored
• Ensure that grievances received from offenders and others receive a prompt and clinically responsible response
• Ensure compliance with all facility and MHM policies, and Federal and State laws, regulations, and guidelines including HIPAA
• Ensure that MHM staff coordinates care closely with custody staff while maintaining a positive, collaborative relationship
• Maintain an ethical commitment to ensure confidentiality within the limits of a correctional environment
• Ensure that care to offenders is delivered by MHM staff in a nonjudgmental/nondiscriminatory manner to protect the autonomy, dignity and rights of offenders
• Understand and adhere to safety and security rules and regulations of the institution

Education/Credentials/Experience
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Hospital Administration, Health Care Administration, Health and Human Services, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field from an accredited college or university required
• Prior experience as a Health Care Administrator, Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Registered Nurse preferred
• Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
• Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR certification
• One (1) year management experience in a comprehensive mental health program
• Experience in the DOC / Jail system is a plus
