Job description

Internship
CareOregon offers internships in many fields, providing meaningful learning opportunities for students. Internships are aligned with a student's area of study at an accredited institution of higher education. Interns are paid an hourly rate; weekly hours are established based on school program requirements, as well as organizational needs and policies. Evaluation is based on the intern's performance against school program criteria. An internship does not guarantee an offer of employment beyond the internship assignment.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Grow knowledge in area of study through formal and informal training, meeting attendance, observations, and mentoring in the workplace.
  • Develop skills and gain hands-on experience by performing routine and/or moderately advanced tasks; work might involve independence or partnership with others.
  • Meet with site supervisor to ensure work time is aligned with school program criteria; share learnings and identify areas where additional information or skills would be valuable.
  • Report to work as scheduled.
  • Demonstrate cooperation and teamwork

Required
  • To be considered for an internship, a student must be receiving academic credit from or be fulfilling an academic requirement related to the intern's field of study at an accredited institution of higher education
  • It is the responsibility of the intern to ensure that all university or college requirements are met to receive credit
