Job description

Service Center

CSCS TX

Role and Responsibilities

Partner with Finance, Operations, Human Resources, Marketing, IT, and other business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and business objectives.

Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, scorecards, and enterprise reporting solutions.

Develop semantic models, DAX measures, KPIs, calculated columns, and Power Query transformations following data modeling best practices.

Write SQL queries to extract, analyze, validate, and reconcile data from multiple enterprise systems.

Translate business requirements into scalable reporting and analytical solutions.

Perform data validation, root cause analysis, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure reporting accuracy.

Support report deployments, scheduled refreshes, production issue resolution, and ongoing report enhancements.

Optimize report performance, refresh efficiency, and end-user experience within Power BI Service.

Document business logic, report calculations, technical specifications, and reporting standards.

Collaborate with BI Developers, Data Engineers, and business teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to automate manual reporting and streamline business processes.

Stay current with Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and emerging analytics technologies and best practices.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

2+ years of experience developing enterprise Power BI reports and dashboards.

Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, SQL, Power Query, and data modeling.

Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into reporting and analytical solutions.

Understanding of dimensional modeling, semantic models, and data visualization best practices.

Experience validating and reconciling data across multiple data sources.

Basic understanding of Finance and Accounting concepts and operational reporting.

Experience working directly with business stakeholders across multiple departments.

Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to business users.

Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data quality.

Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business needs.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team.

Occasional travel as required (less than 10%).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft Fabric.

Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouse platforms.

Experience with SSAS Tabular Models or semantic modeling.

Familiarity with Tabular Editor, DAX Studio, Power Automate, Git, or Azure DevOps.

Knowledge of Row-Level Security (RLS), deployment pipelines, and Power BI governance.

Experience supporting Finance, Operations, KPI reporting, or executive dashboards.

Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) certification or equivalent experience.
