Boise Cascade has an exciting opening for a Multi-Family National Accounts Specialist Please review the responsibilities and needed qualifications below and apply today!

Purpose of the Role

Drives profitable growth for Division Multi-Family by owning pricing governance and account support for assigned national and multi-branch customers. Partners with Multi-Family Account Managers, Multi-Family Account Coordinators, Division Product Managers, and branch leadership to develop and execute pricing strategies that strengthen competitive position while protecting targeted margin. Serves as the centralized point of coordination for account pricing structures, quote strategy, program execution, and change communications ensuring consistent, timely, and accurate pricing and service delivery across BMD locations. Uses data and customer insights to identify opportunities, reduce margin leakage, and improve responsiveness and service consistency for key accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Leads centralized coordination of pricing quotes for national and multi-branch customers when a single point of contact improves speed, consistency, and customer experience.
  • Ensures quote inputs, pricing assumptions, approvals, and documentation are complete and aligned to pricing policy and account strategy.
  • Facilitates timely resolution of pricing exceptions and escalations, coordinating decisions with appropriate sales, branch, and product stakeholders.
  • Serves as a primary support resource for designated accounts, ensuring strong service execution, timely responses, and effective issue resolution across locations.
  • Coordinates account changes (pricing updates, program terms, product offerings, service expectations) and ensures branches are informed and prepared to execute.
  • Provides backup support for Multi-Family Account Managers and Coordinators; supports preparation for sales presentations, customer discussions, and account reviews.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications: College Degree or equivalent work experience in related job function. Working conditions are in a normal office environment with moderate physical exertion. May be required to work in addition to normal business hours for cycle counts, promotions, and business travel. Must be able to safely drive to customer location and physically place product displays.

Preferred Qualifications: Prefer degree in business/wood products with concentration in sales and marketing. Strong background in lumber and building products a plus. Typically 3-5 years of experience in related job function.
