Join us as a Senior Income Tax Analyst!

Challenge yourself as a part of a dynamic, fast-paced tax team and join BMC Software! We are currently hiring a Sr. Income Tax Analyst for our Houston, Texas office! This exciting role is part of a very collaborative group, where people are willing to step out of their roles to help others. Reporting to a Tax Manager, you will focus on Federal and State income tax compliance as well as Federal, State, and International income tax accounting. You will work closely with corporate accounting teams as well as other business groups across BMC.

Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:

• Preparation of state income and franchise tax calculations, as well as preparation of federal and state estimated income tax payments.
• Preparation of Federal and State calculations for the quarterly income tax provision.
• Preparation of monthly tax journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Preparation of FIN48 calculations.
• Assist with the preparation of the U.S. consolidated federal income tax returns.
• Assist with the preparation of responses to various tax audits and notices.
• Assist with other projects as necessary.

To ensure you are set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

• You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is highly preferred.
• You have 2+ years of corporate federal and state income tax experience either with a large multinational organization or similar experience with a Big 4 or CPA firm.
• You are proficient with MS Office and OneSource Income Tax. Experience with OneSource Tax Provision, Oracle, and OneStream a plus.
• You have a strong technical tax background including tax research and compliance knowledge.
• You are a self-motivated individual who takes initiative and has a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.

The range listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.

At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at /near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $89,700 - $149,500
