We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army's Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation aircraft.

This position is onsite at Bell's Drive Systems Center in Grand Prairie, Texas.

This position is 2nd Shift (2:30PM-12:00AM). This position requires mandatory weekend OT shift on a rotational basis.

 This role will be an integral part of the team, helping execute day-to-day.

What you'll be doing as a Front Line Leader: 

       The Front Line Leader will be responsible for assigning, managing and directing the daily manufacturing activities of up to 25 union covered employees within their assigned area to attain economy of operations, maximize throughput, and ensure profitable production of parts.

       Work with Process Engineering and Quality to identify process improvement opportunities that improve overall efficiency, while reducing defects that lead to scrap and rework.

       Direct CNC manufacturing activities with a focus on safety and operational efficiency.

       Conduct disciplines of employees when necessary.

       Manage in accordance with the local production union Collective Bargaining Agreement.

       Provide metrics driven accountability for performance: Earned hours, efficiency, schedule, overhead, and overtime charges.

       Achieve objectives in a matrix work environment and work effectively with multiple functions (such as Supply Chain, Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Quality, etc.).

Skills You Bring to This Role:

       High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.

       5 years of manufacturing or military experience is required.

       Effective interpersonal, leadership, communication, and organization skills.

       Being goal-oriented and data driven with a strong sense of urgency. 

       Capable of leveraging modern business systems and have basic computer skills.

       Must be an empowering team leader, that encourages growth and development
