Bell is seeking an experienced, self-motivated Aircraft Maintenance Coordinator to join Bell's Flight Research Center Maintenance Operations team. This position will lead the overall maintenance strategy, forecasting, and coordination for 525, MV-75 and Legacy aircraft in Arlington, TX. 

What you'll be doing as an Aircraft Maintenance Coordinator:

  • Lead the planned and unplanned Maintenance coordination with Flight Test Engineering, Design Engineering, Flight Test Instrumentation, Materials Manager and Shop Floor Maintenance Supervisors to safely and efficiently execute MV-75, 525 and Legacy aircraft maintenance requirements. 
  • Focus on safety in every area of maintenance planning and coordination.  Develop and cultivate a safety culture.
  • Coordinate, author, and review as required Functional Test Procedures, Acceptance Test Procedures, and Aircraft System Interim Procedures supporting manufacturing and flight test operations.
  • Responsible for supporting the Open Work Assessment Committee to ensure maintenance configuration changes are sufficiently designed, released, and planned with associated tooling and hardware available to execute on shop floor at a time most conducive to efficiently support flight test.
  • Contribute to the Maintenance, Flight Test Engineering and Instrumentation Teams through continuous learning and innovative ideas to advance technology, improve efficiency, and reduce overall cost and schedule.
  • Support and lead responses to critical maintenance or flight test aircraft system issues affecting the safe conduct of test operations.
  • Identify potential issues early, efficiently resolve problems and incorporate risk mitigation planning.
  • Provide work instructions, direction and support for maintaining, troubleshooting and upgrading all related experimental maintenance and flight test instrumentation systems.
  • Maintain proficiency in the use of specialized Bell developed software applications for experimental maintenance and flight test instrumentation systems.
  • Ensure data is accurate and complete.
  • Effectively interface and communicate with managers of maintenance, flight test, and the programs we support on matters related to aircraft maintenance or instrumentation requirements and support. 
  • Travel as needed between manufacturing (Amarillo) and additional test site facilities (up to 15% anticipated).

Skills You Bring To this Role

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidiscipline support functions to include engineering disciplines (manufacturing, procurement, finance, IT, technical publications, customer support, integrated operations, quality, contracts), customers, suppliers and partners in various locations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developmental aircraft manufacturing processes and flight test aircraft maintenance operations
  • 5 years of aircraft maintenance or flight experience.

What you need to be successful

  • Bachelor's degree in Aeornautics, Aviation Maintenance Science, Aircraft Maintenance, or relevant field is required.
  • FAA A&P certificate is desired
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting aircraft manufacturing, experimental or production flight test, flight test instrumentation, or prior military aviation experience.
  • Positive, motivated, self-starter that solves complex problems with simple solutions.
  • Ability to learn quickly, communicate effectively, and ensure safety and efficiency.
