  • 40 hours/week, 24 Month Assignment (Some OT is expected)

A leading electronics testing company is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of test and measurement equipment both onsite and at customer locations, ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance with industry standards.

Field Service Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual and automated calibration, adjustments, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of test and measurement electronic equipment at service centers and customer sites, including RF/Microwave instruments up to 50 GHz.
  • Evaluate test failures to distinguish between hardware and system software issues, determine repair or re-alignment needs, and execute calibration and adjustment procedures on both company and non-company equipment, including software/firmware installations and system re-imaging.
  • Utilize automated calibration systems (STE, TME, PC-based) and computer tools to execute calibration processes while adhering to ISO 9001, ANSI/NCSL Z540-3, and ISO/IEC 17025 quality standards and supporting accreditation through testing, training, and quality assurance programs.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams by maintaining strong communication, managing service assignments with defined objectives, ensuring alignment between customer expectations and service delivery, and leading the resolution of complex technical and project-related issues.
  • Operate in a dynamic environment by managing priorities, following project timelines and processes, maintaining documentation, and demonstrating strong troubleshooting, technical, and organizational skills while supporting overall equipment performance and customer satisfaction.

Field Service Engineer Qualifications:

  • Experience with calibration services for test and measurement equipment, including RF/Microwave instruments up to 50 GHz.
  • University degree, Technical School training, Military PMEL/TMDE background, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ANSI/NCSL Z540-3, and ISO/IEC 17025 quality standards.
  • Hands-on experience with manual and automated calibration processes and automated calibration software platforms (STE, TME, PC-based).
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical skills with the ability to differentiate hardware and software issues.
  • Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office and calibration systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with customers, peers, and management.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities while meeting performance metrics.
  • Ability to lead customer interactions and resolve complex technical and project-related challenges.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

Shift:

  • 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
