# Associate Director/Director, Valuation ProfessionalBaringsDirectorPrivate CreditFull-timeLocationNew York, United StatesCompensation$95,000-$160,000Date PostedMay 15, 2026Stay ahead of the marketGet instant notifications when new job openings matching "Private Credit / Director jobs in New York, United States" are published.## About This RoleBarings, a global investment management firm with over $370 billion in assets under management, is seeking an Associate Director or Director-level Valuation Professional to join its Private Equity and Credit valuation team.The Valuations Professional will work as part of a global team responsible for facilitating and overseeing the quarterly valuation process across Barings' private equity and private credit portfolios. The role involves valuing financial instruments across the capital structure, developing and refining valuation methodologies, and collaborating closely with investment teams throughout the process. The successful candidate will also be expected to present valuation results and methodologies to valuation committees and senior stakeholders.Key responsibilities include:- Facilitating the quarterly valuation process for private equity and private credit investments- Building and maintaining valuation models, including DCF analysis, comparable company multiples, and option pricing frameworks- Developing and documenting valuation methodologies for illiquid and hard-to-value assets- Collaborating with portfolio managers and investment teams to gather data and validate assumptions- Presenting valuation results to valuation committees and responding to auditor inquiriesThe position is available across multiple U.S. locations including New York, Boston, Chicago, and Charlotte. The role requires 3-5 years of relevant experience in private equity, private credit, or investment valuation, with strong Excel modeling skills and a solid understanding of illiquid asset valuation techniques.
