Primary Duties
1. Analyzes trends in growth patterns and activities, identifies areas of concern and presents reports on results to marketing and sales team.
2. Monitors and reports on:
• Customer growth and retention metrics (including market and market share on development lots, new customer additions, burner tip saturation, etc.).
• Sales/marketing programs implemented across the business unit. Also may assist with the implementation of these programs.
• Results compared to internal targets/goals and provides analysis to better understand reasons for overall effectiveness in growing market share and net customers.
3. Provides relevant economic and performance metrics to assist in creating marketing and sales plans; participates in creation of sales team plans and goals.
4. Provides marketing and sales team members with information and data for internal reports and also for external presentations and sales proposals. May assist in the creation of internal and external sales presentations and proposals.
5. Acquires data from public and private sources regarding economic development activities, with emphasis on building and development, throughout the service territories of the business unit.
6. Works closely with local sales and operations team members and participates in local and regional staff meetings to keep all apprised of growth activities and results.
7. Assists sales, operations and tech services in strategic planning to position and time growth infrastructure investments to meet new customer demand.
8. Assists in documentation and evaluation of sales processes.
9. Maintains reports for management use to track marketing expenses and capital investments. Responds to requests across the division regarding sales data and processes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Educational/Experience Level:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or related field; or equivalent.
Communication Skills:
Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide information on technical and other complex concepts to individuals with little or no background in the subject under discussion.
Numeric Skills:
Requires the ability to perform analysis involving financial investments, ratios, percentages and statistical methods.
Computer Skills:
Requires advanced knowledge of various software applications to create complex documents, reports and/or graphics.
Physical Demands:
Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
Work Conditions:
Works in an office environment.
