Job description

Requisition ID:          65922 Title: Repair Inventory Control Specialist III - Medical Devices Salary Range: Salary Minimum:  $21.85/hr  Salary Maximum:   $39.75/hr

Arthrex is looking for an SAP expert with 4 years of Inventory Control experience to join our Global Service and Repair team! You'll manage product returns, coordinate vendor repairs, and ensure 100% inventory accuracy in an FDA-regulated setting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receives returned products into ERP system, determine appropriate action and handling. Follows-up on necessary action with the Arthrex Inc. Product surveillance.
  • Maintains inventory accuracy by following manufacturing best practices and material movement best practices when transacting in ERP system.
  • Prepares, issues, and kits materials based upon the Repair Work Order Pick List requirements according to work instructions and departmental guidelines. Ensures continuous workflow and adherence to the repair schedule.
  • Assigns material retrieval/return instructions assisting with Purchase Order preparation.
  • Generates product packaging and component labels according to router and BOM.
  • Performs physical inventories and cycle counts as required in support of the ERP system.
  • Determine that the issued material matches the bill of material required to manufacture the product.
  • Ensures all work order documents are complete and accurate.
  • Ensure workstation is organized and compliant with area clearance procedures.
  • Logs received material in the Arthrex complaints database
  • Provide written repair quotes to customers and obtain repair approvals.
  • Monitor vendor repairs, evaluations, and vendor quotes for appropriate actions and timely responses.
  • Liaises with other internal departments such as: Product Surveillance, Quality, Finance, Logistics
  • Provides support for ongoing Global Service and Repair projects.
  • Support department with internal/external audits, NCR's and or CAPA's.
  • Observes all blood borne pathogen and related safety procedures.

Knowledge:

  • Advanced SAP knowledge required. Advanced knowledge of product lines applicable to GSR customer fulfillment. Knowledge of FDA and ISO regulations required. Microsoft Office knowledge required (Office, Word, Outlook). Strong numerical, analytical skills preferred.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. May refer to established precedents and policies. Analyzes and resolves non-routine service issues using independent judgment. Solves practical problems based on a variety of concrete variables. Identifies complex problems and reviews related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

Discretion/Latitude:

  • Work is performed in a very general direction. Participates in determining objectives of assignment. Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Microsoft Office skills required (Word, Excel, Outlook). SAP, Quest, Sales Force event management process expert. Ability to communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4 Years' experience in the medical device industry preferred. 4 Years' Inventory Control field experience required.
  • Experience working in an FDA regulated environment preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, multilayered work environment required.

  • Ability to identify and define problems, collect data, analyze established facts, draw valid conclusions, and effectively communicate the information both verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences.
