Job description

Introduction
A Plant Vehicle Team Engineer has several responsibilities associated with analyzing and improving the Quality of the vehicles. This role requires a dynamic individual who can handle multiple tasks and work closely with various teams to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Client Excel for analyzing data to identify warranty patterns and trends.
  • Experience with CAD to assist in root cause analysis by loading related parts and viewing interfaces with applicable parts.
  • Design experience and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work directly for Artech on W2.
  • Prior work experience in the automotive industry.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Automotive experience.
  • Strong communication skills for making presentations to upper management.
  • Experience leading engineering trials and implementing running changes for sub-systems.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Review incoming warranty claims data daily, categorize claims, and contact dealerships for parts and repair diagnoses.
  • Participate in customer call-backs to ensure proper understanding of customer inputs in quality surveys.
  • Investigate plant floor issues to identify root causes and develop corrective actions.
  • Support assembly plant with Stop Ships/Stop Builds, Campaigns, Audits, Root Cause Analysis, and other quality issues.
  • Maintain sub-system or Vehicle Functional Group (VFG) level quality documents and drive the achievement of quality targets.
  • Engage technical experts and functional team members to drive resolution and develop corrective actions to improve product quality.
