Job description
A well-established, profitable community bank is seeking a Credit Analyst to join its commercial lending team in Raleigh. Responsibilities
- Analyze commercial loan requests by reviewing financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, and collateral.
- Evaluate borrower creditworthiness and prepare detailed credit presentations and recommendations.
- Perform cash flow analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessments.
- Support commercial lenders throughout the underwriting and approval process.
- Monitor existing loan relationships and identify potential credit risks.
- Maintain accurate credit files and ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize lending and financial software to support efficient underwriting and portfolio management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial credit analysis or underwriting experience within a bank or financial institution.
- Strong understanding of commercial financial statement analysis, accounting principles, and cash flow analysis.
- Experience evaluating commercial loan requests and credit risk.
- Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred.
