Padre Dam Municipal Water District is seeking a motivated, curious, and hardworking Engineering Intern to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for students pursuing a career in engineering to gain hands-on experience, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute to projects that support essential water, wastewater, and recycled water services for our community.

The Engineering Intern will work within the District's Engineering Department, which is comprised of two divisions: Development Services and Capital Improvement Projects (CIP). The Development Services Division is responsible for reviewing development plans and assisting developers, engineers, and property owners through planning, approval, and installation of new water, sewer, and recycled water facilities. Successful candidates will be invited to interview early to mid July 2026. Essential Duties The Engineering Intern will perform and support routine technical engineering tasks related to the Development Services and CIP Divisions. Tasks may include: research information for water, recycled water, and sewer projects: working with customer inquiries about water and sewer service applications; easement checks; construction meters; drafting by hand or using District software; monitoring of private development applications; and preliminary engineering support for CIP staff.
