Quality Control Inspector
Location: Elkhart, IN
Shift: 6:00 AM–3:00 PM | Monday–Friday
Pay: $17.00/hour

Job Summary
We're looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet company quality standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, experience using measuring tools, and a commitment to producing quality products.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Quality Control Inspector, your core responsibilities will include:
  • Inspecting Products: Perform visual and dimensional inspections on incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished products.
  • Using Measuring Equipment: Utilize calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools to verify product specifications.
  • Reviewing Specifications: Read blueprints, work orders, and quality documentation to ensure products meet required standards.
  • Documenting Inspection Results: Record inspection findings and report any non-conforming materials or products.
  • Supporting Quality Standards: Work closely with production personnel to identify and resolve quality concerns.
  • Maintaining a Safe Work Environment: Keep inspection areas clean and organized while following all company safety procedures.
In addition, you will assist with quality audits, maintain inspection records, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
  • Previous quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings preferred.
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills
  • Quality Inspection: Ability to inspect products for defects and verify compliance with specifications.
  • Measurement Proficiency: Skilled in using precision measuring tools accurately.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Documentation: Ability to accurately record inspection results and maintain quality records.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify quality issues and communicate findings effectively.
  • Safety Awareness: Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
  • Ability to use precision measuring equipment and perform detailed visual inspections.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
