Minimum qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in product design or UX.
  • 5 years of experience designing for video editing and mobile products or 4 years of experience designing consumer product experiences.

Preferred qualifications:
  • 12 years of experience in product design or UX.

Responsibilities
  • Establish visual strategies that reinforce user-centered mental models for new features, including visual branding/identity and motion design.
  • Reimagine Shorts surfaces and experiences by leveraging and evolving YouTube's design system in partnership with YouTube's central design system team.
  • Create designs within technical constraints and demonstrate the direction with prototypes.
  • Provide direction to UX designers and develop visual design frameworks that can be leveraged by UX designers.
  • Drive design solutions based on user insights, business needs, and industry trends that further business outcomes.
