Title: Line Cook

Starting Pay: Based on experience starting at $18/hr+

Employment Type: Full Time and Part Time (20-40 hours/week)

Employment Period: May- October (willing to be flexible)

Standard Shift Duration: 8-10 hours (pending business needs)

Job Purpose:

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality dishes to our specifications, setting up and stocking stations, and ensuring that the kitchen operates in a timely and efficient manner.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Qualification:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Previous professional cooking experience, preferably line cook
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the role

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk the duration of a scheduled shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 LBS (dishes, glassware, trays of food, etc)
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions
  • Must be able to handle hot, cold and moderate noise interior and outdoor conditions
  • Continuous repetitive motions
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
  • Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
  • Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef's instructions.
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
  • Stock inventory appropriately.
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
