Overview

The Racquets Professional is a full-time, on-court and member-facing position responsible for delivering exceptional instruction, creating memorable racquet-sport experiences, and supporting the overall growth of the racquets department. This individual will coach players of all ages and levels, assist with event operations, contribute to pro shop support, and uphold the KCC brand of professionalism, integrity, and hospitality.

The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator, technically sound instructor, organized team-player, and someone who thrives in a club environment with high member expectations.

What You'll Be Doing


Instruction & Player Development

  • Provide private lessons, group clinics, and team practices in tennis, pickleball, and/or platform tennis (training available where needed).

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging instruction that matches player goals and club standards.

  • Create individualized development plans, seasonal progress tracking, and member progress updates.

  • Support junior development pathways through Red/Orange/Green/Yellow ball instruction.

Program & Event Support

  • Assist in running leagues, socials, mixers, ladders, holiday events, tournaments, and member-guest experiences.

  • Participate in marketing of programs, including social media support, seasonal brochure content, and member communication.

  • Help ensure events run smoothly with strong organization, preparation, and follow-through.

Pro Shop & Facility Support

  • Support racquets pro shop operations as needed (sales, fittings, merchandise assistance, POS support).

  • Ensure courts, equipment, and teaching carts are clean, organized, and properly maintained.

  • Contribute to a welcoming, professional environment at all racquets facilities, both indoor and outdoor.

Member Service

  • Build strong relationships with members and guests through hospitality, professionalism, and proactive communication.

  • Represent KCC values daily service, respect, teamwork, and excellence.

What You Need for this Position
  • PTR, USPTA, PPR, or PPTA certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

  • Strong teaching background with ability to coach multiple racquet sports.

  • High-level communication skills and a positive, team-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and meet seasonal club demands.

  • Strong organizational skills, reliability, and ability to self-manage.

  • Experience in a private club setting is a plus, but not required.
