Job description

Love running, walking, fitness-or just helping people feel good on their feet?
Goodmiles Running Company in Brookfield is looking for a part-time Athletic Sales Associate to join our team!
You don't need to be an elite runner or know everything about running shoes. We're looking for someone who's friendly, active, curious, and excited to learn. If you enjoy connecting with people and helping them reach their goals, we'll teach you the rest.
What You'll Do
At Goodmiles, we do more than sell running shoes. We help people find the right gear to run farther, train harder, walk more comfortably, or simply keep moving.
You'll:
  • Talk with customers about their activities, goals, and what they're looking for
  • Learn how to provide personalized shoe fittings and help customers find the right fit
  • Recommend shoes, insoles, apparel, and accessories based on each customer's needs
  • Build your knowledge of running shoes, fit technology, and some of the industry's top brands
  • Help customers navigate the many available options without making the experience overwhelming
  • Ring up purchases and pitch in with everyday store responsibilities
  • Work alongside a team that shares an interest in movement, fitness, and helping people

Some customers are training for their next marathon. Others are walking their first mile. We meet them wherever they are and help them find the gear to keep going.
What We're Looking For
You might be a great fit if you:
  • Have an interest in running, walking, fitness, or an active lifestyle
  • Enjoy talking with people and learning about their goals
  • Are friendly, patient, and comfortable asking questions
  • Like staying active and busy during your shift
  • Are dependable and enjoy being part of a team
  • Are eager to learn about footwear, fit, and performance
  • Have flexibility to work a mix of weekdays, evenings, and/or weekends

Retail or sales experience is a plus, but it's not required. We'll provide hands-on training to help you become confident in shoe fitting, product knowledge, and our approach to customer service.
Pay & Schedule
  • $12/hour base pay PLUS commission
    • Typical earnings of $14-18+ per hour, depending on sales performance
  • Part-time schedule: approximately 14-28 hours per week
    • Varied shifts available including weekdays, evenings, and weekends

Life doesn't always fit neatly into a traditional work schedule. Whether you're in school, balancing another job, returning to the workforce, or simply looking for part-time hours, we're happy to work with you to find a schedule that makes sense.
Store Hours
  • Monday-Friday: 10 AM-7 PM
  • Saturday: 10 AM-6 PM
  • Sunday: 11 AM-5 PM

Team members may occasionally be scheduled before opening or after closing.
The Perks
  • Employee discount on premium footwear, apparel, and gear
  • Race and event fee reimbursement
  • 401(k)
  • Pet Insurance
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
