SUMMARY
The Reservation Supervisor ("Supervisor/a de Reservaciones") assists management in supervision of the Reservation Sales Agents and PBX Operators to ensure that the staff are providing exceptional service by following all company and department standards. Eagerly assists all internal and external guests with a positive attitude and assists staff in the performance of their duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Provides consistent supervision of "All" Reservations & PBX Staff daily.
  • Liaisons between staff & management.
  • Offers support to other departments (Front office, Sales, Accounting, Groups, etc.).
  • Constructively handles guest concerns & provides exceptional service.
  • Constructively motivates & updates the staff on new information & procedures.
  • Identifies & administers individual training needs to staff & seek assistance from manager, as well as inform manager of concerns, progress & course of action to be taken.
  • Ensures all morning & evening reports are completed accurately & signed off by the actual person who completed the work, including complete, file, scan, &/or log all necessary daily work, Employee Performance Logs, etc. Consistent and timely follow-up is a necessary job function.
  • Courteously follow-ups with staff on errors in a positive & proactive manner.
  • Order necessary repairs on equipment & order office supplies.
  • Must be pro-active to learn & have complete & accurate information about Evans Hotels, facilities, amenities and department heads, policies, procedures, safety and Emergency plans.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks & executes reasonable decisions while under pressure.
  • Eliminates any potential hazardous working conditions, report to Reservations Manager, conduct safety tailgates, as well as on the spot impromptu training.
  • Ability to be confidential, respectful and considerate with all guest and staff information.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two-year associates degree, trade school degree, professional certification, or any equivalent.
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training.
  • A combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement.
  • Experience running shifts, scheduling, performance management, problem-solving, guest servicing and running day-to-day operations.
  • Experience in dealing with the public is preferred, such as retail cashier, food industry service, guest service with public contacts, etc.
  • Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
  • Ability to maintain a friendly, team-oriented, positive attitude and a professional appearance at all times.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
