Job description

Ready to take the leap and start your own Internal Medicine Service?
Animal Emergency Hospital of North Texas in Grapevine, TX is seeking brave, passionate internists to join their hospital. We are a progressive, multi-specialty hospital that is excited to expand our disciplines to include residency-trained or board-certified internists to their roster. This is a rare opportunity to shape a service from the ground up.
What We Offer:
• A blank canvas with all the state-of-the-art toys to play with - endoscopy, CT, fluoroscopy, you name it!
• Ultrasound flexibility - option to do your own (with training if need be!), or we can provide dedicated sonographers for this service.
• Collaboration - While it's the corporate buzzword in vogue right now, we really mean it! There's plenty of options to work together in-hospital, the wider Ethos network provides a cornucopia of support and insight at a multitude of levels across specialties.
• Solid nursing and frontline support to keep your day moving!
• Flexible on-call so you can still attempt a work/life balance.
• All the growth opportunities - Want to get into dialysis or just make sure you have time off for conferences? Ever dreamed of finetuning your endoscopy/interventional radiology skills? The sky is the limit with us.
• Exciting research opportunities within Ethos Veterinary Health - From simple sampling requests to GCP-level trials, you'll have the opportunity to be part of groundbreaking work-without disrupting your day-to-day practice.
What We're Looking For:
• A board-certified or residency-trained internist looking to return/relocate within the Lone Star State.
• Someone who loves the puzzle of internal medicine! While there are the standard renal (did you see the options for dialysis?), liver, respiratory, or G cases, there's always the occasional case of "what even is that mass?" that needs solving!
• A team player within our robust, but still growing, hospital to collaborate across the board.
The Perks:
• Competitive salary where your dollar goes further in an area with a lower cost of living.
• Full benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401K, and a CE allowance that won't make you cry).
• Signing bonus and relocation since we want you that badly!
• The eternal gratitude of every GP who finally has an internist to send all their mystery chronic diarrhea cases to.
Why Grapevine?
Well, as the name implies, we've got wineries. And they're good! In addition to a bustling viticulture scene, we also offer a vibrant downtown with live music, local boutiques, and dining. Lakeside recreation and outdoor activities are also available if you're into aquatic adventures. Proximity to an international airport hub at DFW is dangerous if you've been bitten by the travel bug. For our existing and/or growing families, there are top-rated schools with top-tier neighborhoods. Whether you're looking to return home to the Dallas-metropolitan area or start anew, there's plenty to offer.
Passionate About Clinical Research?
At Ethos Veterinary Health, we make it easy to participate in research within your private practice setting. Our Ethos Science team partners with veterinarians within our network to execute clinical studies that support the development of cutting edge medical advancements across a wide array of specialties. From sampling requests to GCP studies, there is something for everyone, and we make it easy for you to fit them into your day-to-day activities.
Let's build something extraordinary-together.
If you've been waiting for the right opportunity to design your dream job and make a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you. Send your CV to Amanda Schultz at amanda.schultz@ethosvet.com.
Ethos Veterinary Health, part of the NVA Group, is where you come to practice world-class medicine, and help shape what veterinary care becomes next.
Across our network of 140 specialty and emergency hospitals, science moves forward, standards are elevated, and innovation is put into practice every day. You'll work alongside respected veterinary leaders in academic-caliber hospitals designed for learning, teaching, and discovery.
Here, mentorship is a two-way street. You'll share your expertise, learn from others, and continue to grow, clinically, professionally, and personally.
At Ethos, you inspire hope, deliver exceptional care, and pursue veterinary medicine at its highest level, together.
Benefits for this role may include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), retirement benefits, paid time off (including sick leave and vacation), short-term and long-term disability, and life insurance.
Ethos is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Ethos does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, physical or mental disability, national origin, veteran status or any other basis covered by appropriate law.
