Job description

About Wahed:
The global financial system wasn't built for everyone. For millions of people, its reliance on interest (riba) creates a barrier to managing money and building wealth without compromising their values.
At Wahed, we're changing that. We are a global fintech company on a mission to build a new financial system-one that is ethical, accessible, and entirely interest-free. From our offices across the globe, our team is building products that were once deemed impossible. Job Description:

  • Research community trends, audience questions and trending financial topics within student and professional networks.
  • Take ownership of specific grassroots outreach projects and community engagement initiatives under the guidance of the marketing team.
  • Maintain outreach trackers, partner lists and event schedules to keep community initiatives moving forward.
  • Work with our brand ambassadors on campaign execution.

  • Proactive, highly organized and dependable, with the drive to both lead and support projects from start to finish.
  • Ability to work independently, manage daily tasks and deliver work to deadlines.
  • A deep interest in fintech, Islamic finance and alternative investments.

Desirable
  • Leadership experience within a university Muslim Student Association (MSA), student club or local community organization.
  • Experience moderating or actively contributing to subreddits, online forums or digital subcultures.
  • Experience organizing virtual events, host panels or managing online webinars.
